We wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for their patience and understanding during these difficult times. We hope this finds you ALL healthy both mentally and physically.
It should come as no surprise to you that we must, unfortunately, cancel our upcoming seminars scheduled for October of this year in light of the ongoing Governor’s orders.
We are extremely sorry that we were unable to hold our seminars this year due to the pandemic and look forward to seeing all of you in 2021. We want each of you to know that we will NOT be collecting membership dues for 2021 from those who are currently paid members in 2020. We will roll over those dues and honor them for next year. You will not be asked to pay membership dues in 2021.
On another matter, this would normally have been a time for us to vote on our board composition.
The following Board members have agreed to remain of service next year. The COSIPA by-laws allow between 7 and 9 board members.
The following board members are hereby presented to our public agency membership to continue to serve on the board.
Janet Hamilton – City of Livermore
Laura Marquez – City of Richmond
Nancy Rice – County of Monterey
Beverly Jensen – City of Lodi
Pamela Mackie – City of Fullerton
Jamelle Peck – City of Long Beach
Jill Degnan – City of San Diego
Both Sandy Loncaric and Patti Williams have agreed to continue to assist the Board in an advisory capacity. Carolyn Richard has agreed to continue as General Manager. We will assume that this will be passed by a large majority if not an acclamation. If you are opposed to this slate of board members, please indicate by saying NO.
As always, should any of you employed by a public agency have any interest in serving on the board in the future, please email Carolyn Richard at Crichardconsulting@outlook.com
Please click on the link below should you have any comments or suggestions that you would like to see from COSIPA during these times while unable to hold in-person meetings. We welcome all input.
Thank you for your ongoing support of our organization. We will look back at this time in our lives as one of the many challenges that we have faced and overcome. Just one more risk that must be managed!
